Raise3D Premium ASA Black
Description
ASA stands for Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate and is an amorphous, opaque thermoplastic that structurally resembles ABS.
In many cases, the two materials are quite interchangeable in their purpose, but ASA has some important distinguishing features that make it more suitable than ABS for certain applications.
ASA is significantly more resistant to UV light and weathering, making it a better choice for applications with prolonged outdoor exposure. Additionally, ASA can boast slightly better mechanical properties.
- UV-resistance
- High impact and wear resistance
- High heat resistance
- High toughness
Raise3D's Premium ASA Filament is certified to both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Applications
- Outdoor articles
- Manufacturing aids and fixtures
- End-use parts
- Production tools

Since ABS is popular and offers many options, it is generally recommended to use ABS unless outdoor exposure is a concern.
