Description
The original Prusa Research MK4S offers high-speed 3D printing with ease and is as reliable as all original Prusa 3D printers. It has all the best features of the popular MK4 - an open source 3D printing workhorse with easy maintenance and advanced safety features - and it offers much more!
The MK4S always delivers a perfectly smooth first coat thanks to the load cell sensor (no manual adjustments required). The next-gen extruder (Nextruder) and 32-bit platform offer many quality of use improvements such as remote printing, quick-swappable nozzles and customizable interface with a one-click printing option.
Powerful 360° cooling
The MK4S features an all-new 360° cooling system consisting of a high-performance turbine and a redesigned fan shroud - the result of intensive airflow simulations to ensure cold air is directed precisely to pressure. This solution is much more effective compared to simple centrifugal fans because the airflow is not blocked by the pressure itself. The weight of the Next rudder remains virtually unchanged, but the performance is far better.
Even with the large turbine, the printer is still wonderfully quiet and can deliver prints with extreme 75° overhangs. Why is this important? Because the MK4S can easily deliver a nice looking print where other printers already require a significant number of supports. Fewer supports mean shorter print times and less material waste.
Optional Prusa App
Get a quick overview of all your printers and running tasks and start, pause and stop prints from anywhere in a beautiful, clean design. You can also access printables directly from the app. If a project contains a printable file, simply tap the "Print" button and print it immediately without having to use a slicer. The app for iOS and Android is completely optional and is not required to configure your printer. If you prefer simplicity over smart features, you don't need the app at all installieren.
Perfect first layer right away
Forget Live Adjust Z or manually adjusted screws. The MK4S lays down an absolutely flawless first coat every time. It doesn't matter what type of printing surface you use, the MK4S load cell sensor always measures offset accurately without being disturbed by reflective or textured surfaces. The sensor does not rely on visual data and offers unparalleled precision on all types of printing plates!
High-Flow Nozzle as Standard
The MK4S comes standard with a specially crafted high-flow nozzle based on CHT technology. A high-flow nozzle allows for faster printing while also producing more durable prints. Additionally, you can get more out of the filaments you already know and love – there is no need to look for special high-flow filaments. Compared to the standard nozzle in the MK4, the new high-flow nozzle delivers a flow rate improvement of 50 to 114% depending on the material and nozzle diameter. We also offer an optional Nextruder nozzle adapter, allowing you to install any V6-compatible nozzle.
32-bit xBuddy Mainboard
Our new xBuddy board is a 32-bit STM32 mainboard packed with great features. It includes several unique hardware-based safety systems, communicates with four thermistors, has all essential ports (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, works with USB-A sticks), and more. The entire board was developed, manufactured, and tested in-house.
Color LCD Screen and Simple User Interface
The MK4S display supports G-code thumbnails, QR codes, and other elements that make using the printer much easier. We have also redesigned many of the existing menus and added a customizable footer. Directly below the LCD is an RGB status bar that indicates the printer's current status. Next to the LCD, there is a USB-A port for standard USB sticks.
