Duet 3 Scanning Z Probe
Description
The Duet 3 Scanning Z probe is an inductive sensor board connected via CAN-FD with compatible inductive PCB coils. It enables the rapid creation of a point cloud of the bed, as no movement in the Z-axis is required to measure the bed distance, and individual readings are very quick. Additionally, an accelerometer has been added to the board, allowing the SZP board to also be used for input shaping calibration.
Integration and mounting of a Duet 3 Scanning Z Probe is straightforward, as we have intentionally separated the processing board from the coil used as the sensor using a flat flexible cable. This allows for free mounting of the sensor board, with only the coil needing to be positioned next to the nozzle and near the bed.
For initial orders, we supply both 15-mm and 12-mm coils. When characterizing performance, we opt for a "standard" coil diameter and can provide other diameters separately.
